We have always had a passion for great coffee! Always searching for the next best cup. We also go to coffee as a “go to” comfort in our day. Taking our passion one step further we decided to start roasting our own coffee. With little knowledge and a lot of ambition I fabricated a small drum roaster out of a piece of stainless steel, an old spit and a cordless drill and started roasting in our home BBQ. This would yield a fairly insignificant amount of roasted coffee but was a great tool in the learning experience and understanding different types of roasts for a variety of beans. I have expanded since then but the experience has left me with first hand knowledge of how to use my senses while roasting our coffees.
On May 4th, 2019 we decided to take our coffee beyond just serving our friends and family and introduced it into our community so we could inspire people to seek out great connections with one another over a great cup of coffee. Having combined that concept with our love for running and the outdoors we came up with our company name, “Race Pace Coffee Co.” As a couple of runners roasting coffee we are privileged to have the support from other local runners and to be the official coffee served at “The Fat Ass Trail Run” held annually at Batawa Ski Hill.
Our goal is to sell freshly roasted quality coffee from all over the world to our local businesses, coffee shops and home brewers in our local area. Today you can find our product for sale in Belleville, ON at: The Artisan Collective Market, Tri and Run Sports, Annette’s Books and Consignment, Gilmore’s By The Bay, Gilmour’s on 38 and of course we also sell directly via Instagram or Facebook messaging.
We want you to experience coffee how we think it should be!
